目前在五樓實驗室有這麼一本好書

「 TCP/IP Protocol Suite, 3rd Edition」

外皮跟電路學用的書長得一模一樣

在網際網路中

像 router 這樣的 intermediate device 其所擁有的資源是有限的

因此 packet buffer 的大小也是有限的

splice

這個字查字典有名詞和動詞型式，意指結合、黏合

用在網際網路的 TCP 協定中

checksum 是為了保證 header 或 data 不被破壞而發展出來的機制

它的計算方式是這樣的

將要計算的對象以 16 bits 為單位以一的補數作相加（計算前的 checksum 是設為零）

定義在 RFC 2338 和 3768 中 （3768 為 2338 的更新修正版）
